Peanut butter and chocolate, a combination that we find in many desserts, which are often very unhealthy unfortunately. Luckily this fact is in the past with these healthy bars! No need for an oven, and super easy to prepare, so anyone can make this delicious snack in no time. And I assure you, everyone will be asking you the recipe.
Healthy Vegan Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars
Ingredients
230g smooth peanut butter
100ml maple syrup
100g coconut flour
100g extra dark chocolate
2 tbsp coconut oil
Flakey sea salt for topping
Method
In a big bowl, mix the peanut butter with the maple syrup with a wooden spoon. Stir until combined. Then add the coconut flour. When uniform, transfer the dough to a square cake pan lined with parchment paper. Spread out evenly.
In a small bowl, melt the chocolate together with the coconut oil while stirring continuously. Once melted, leave the chocolate mixture to cool for 5 minutes. Then pour it over the peanut butter dough. Put the dish into the fridge for at least 15 mins.
Once the chocolate top layer has hardened, the whole square can be lifted out of the cake pan. Slice up in bars and sprinkle with salt. SERVE!
Wine pairing
This is not a super sweet dessert, but more nutty, savoury with a little bit of sweet. Therefore, a Fino Sherry would be a great pairing. It has notes of nuttiness and salinity, and does not have the heavy sweetness of the other types of Sherry.
